We originally brought Bouviers into Canada in 1972. We purchased three from Madrone Ledge Kennels in Maryland. They were Madrone Ledge Vesper, Madrone Ledge Viola and Madrone Ledge Van Gogh. Several top Bouviers in Canada trace their ancestry to these dogs.
Bouviers are a wonderful breed, although not a breed for everybody. They are an independent, thinking dog and as such require an intelligent and dominant master. They are a breed that will put the welfare of you and your family over themselves without any training. The stories we have received from the people who have owned our puppies are amazing.
